The ReidOut with Joy Reid

Malcolm Nance: On Jan. 6 we saw the command cell of the Oath Keepers

Episode Summary

Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut with a major escalation in the Jan. 6 investigation: for the first time the Department of Justice has filed "seditious conspiracy" charges related to the insurrection, including against the leaders of the far-right group, the Oath Keepers. Next we turn to Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, who paid lip service to the two voting rights bills on Thursday, just as she has paid lip service to the late civil rights leader John Lewis on twitter and bragged about co-sponsoring the bill named in his honor. But, with her dead set opposition to changing the filibuster, she is insuring that the bills are going nowhere. Plus, the Supreme Court on Thursday ruled against the Biden administration's rule requiring vaccine mandates for companies employing more than 100 people. The court said a separate mandate requiring vaccinations for an estimated 20 million health care workers can be enforced. Rep. Raul Ruiz joins Joy Reid to discuss. Then, in this edition of "The Absolute Worst," Joy critiques the cult of personality continuing to play out over Donald Trump among leading Republican elected officials and candidates. All this and more in this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.
